Alfie is a 6 lb mutt of some variety. We think he is a Yorkie/Papillon mix, but we remain uncertain due to the situation in which he joined our family.
Alfie was one of 85 (which grew to 109) dogs rescued from a backyard breeder running an illegal puppy mill in Albany, Oregon. He was 4 months old when we began foster parenting him, and he was nearly a year old when he was officially adopted into our home. Despite his initial behavior problems, he is now a socialized and happy dog. He enjoys going to doggy daycare, the dog park, beach trips, camping, and car rides. He will do anything for a tennis ball (miniature sized, of course) and he really enjoys dressing up in the various outfits I find for him and he is always up for a good photo shoot!
If Alfie had to choose one mission in life, it would be to inspire people and be an advocate for abused, neglected, and homeless pets. Alfie greets all animals and people with an open mind and open heart and is a truly inspirational dog."These are a few of my favorite things..."
